Does our church have curb appeal?

In a typical week hundreds of people pass by our church. Why is it that only a few stop by? Lets consider for a moment our “curb appeal”.

When someone passes by the outside of our church what does our property communicate to them about who we are?

Does our sign need repair? Is it able to read from a distance? Is it attractive and eye catching? Is the landscaping well maintained? Does it appeal to the eye? Are the entrances to the parking lot well marked? Is it clean and accessible to all, including those who use wheelchairs and walkers? Is the church entrance welcoming? What does it say about who we are? Are there signs of life throughout the week that make people take notice?

What about the Internet surfer seeking a new church? What does our Web page say about our church?

Is our homepage full of energy and life? Is it “user friendly” to the first-time visitor? Is the information current and relevant? Is it easy to find and contact staff? Do we use pictures and other media to tell the story of our church? Do we show real people engaged in the ministries of our church? Can visitors find information about the various ministries and programs on our Web site? Does our web site make people want to come and visit us on Sunday?

So what do you think?
