Pastor Margery Schammel ~ Bio
I was born and grew up in northern Pennsylvania, in the woods and hills north of Williamsport, which is the home of the Little League World Series. I preached my first sermon when I was 12 years old and became a “lay speaker” at the age of 14. After taking my time with education, I completed my master’s degree at Princeton Theological Seminary in 1992 and started working at Hiss UMC that summer. I left Hiss in 2003 and began at Towson UMC in 2005. I was at Towson UMC for 16 years. I have been in chaplaincy training for the past couple of years. I was married in 1994 to a navite of Baltimore City and have two daughters. My daughters are grown now, one living in Illinois and the other living in California. My husband, WIllie, and I live in Baldwin, MD with our small, old dog.
